Family Tree Of Peshwas & Impressive image of Bajirao Peshwe

It is really difficult to get hold of these two rare snaps... grabbed them through a lot of search & find activity. The Family Tree of Peshwas is easy guide to the legendary history & this impressive pic of Bajirao Peshwe, I feel was taken by some one, from an angle, of the statue opposite of Shaniwar Wada, Pune.

Dear Sourabh,

Thats very correct observation... as per my understanding of name history in the chronological order looks okay, but looks like some one had a very poor arithmatic skills and the numbering went wrong, but would post the confirmation after some serious "historical analysis". In Marathi... On lighter side, Sahava Peshwa, Bhumigat zhala asala pahije 1857 ran-sangrama chya aadhi ani mhanun tyache nav kunala kalu shakale nahi...!

- Yours, Dada

The sixth Peshwa period 1774-77 technically is, Raghunathrao. The reason why that is not mentioned is probably beacuse he was not recognised by the Barabhaus that ruled the Maratha Confederation. the Barabhaus included Nana Phadnavis and Mahadaji Shinde. The other reason for the sixth Peshwa not being mentioned might be that it went back one generation from Narayanrao and can confuse the reader. Another reason might be that he went to the british so he was their pupet.

heyyyyy frds as every one is anxious to know about the 6th peshwa. so am glad to tell u that after the assassination of Narayanrao by his uncle Raghunatrao. the trial was conducted by the ministry. that time sawai Madhavrao was less than 18 yrs so the peshwa was not appointed . the working of maratha kingdom was temporary in the hand of legal adviser Nana Phadanvis . and after some years Sawai Madhavrao was appointed as The 7th peshwa. Thats the reason The 6th Peshwa is missing.

We have watched the serial "Jhansi Ki Rani". There are two girls named Indu and Prachi: Whose daughters they were? They address Bajirao II as Aajoba and Bajirao II addresses Vahini Saheb to a widow, whose wife she is? Vishwasrao's wife name is missing who committed Sati at Panipat. Raghunathrao adopted a son and he must be elder to Bajirao II who was born when Raghunathrao was in jail. Further Nana Peshawa was adopted son of Bajirao II he too has not been shown.
