Raksha Bandhan is a Hindu festival, which celebrates the relationship between brothers and sisters. It is celebrated on the full of the month of Shravana. The festival is marked by the tying of a rakhi, or holy thread by the sister on the wrist of her brother. This Rakhi fell on August 16th, 2008 and it was auspicious to tie it between approx. 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. The rest of the time was considered inauspicious since there was lunar eclipse on the same day night. Taimavshi, Bandumama & Mami along with Prajakta, Chiu & Sharayu were at our place & these are the images speaking of that happy hour in true sense.
